Bitter Taste in My Mouth ; Forbidden Sea

Forbidden Sea by Shiela A. Nielson

Hey guys,
This story is a great story.
You should read it.
(Careful, this post might left ya with some spoilers)

But since I'm more of Happily Ever After type than The Uncertainty of Love,
The story has left a bitter taste in my mouth.

It's a story about a girl living in a though poverty life.
She fell in love with her childhood friend,
but he seems to be smitten with the town's beautiful girl.
He often helps her through the hardship.
Often she told her that she is not worthy to be his.

This girl did not knew that she is beautiful.
No one either but once the dirt is off and she cleaned up well,
all boys were smitten but yet she thought otherwise.

As the story progress closer to the climax.
She followed the mermaid to meet her future husband.
Lady Lauretta from the story had married the elder brother.
And she is to wed by the second son.

The mermaid who sought her said that the second son would fall for her.
He is on a rebellious age and refuse to meet her right away
(if he were to accept meeting her, the story would progress differently)

She ended up wanting to go back..
This is where the bitter taste was left..
I mean... she could have chosen the happily ever after...
but...

Anyways, if it were me.
I would marry the oh-so-ever-gorgeous merman prince!

As an [wishing-to-be] author,
I know that the plot has to flow that way.
If it were to move differently, it'll turn all wrong.
Just like life, we can't easily change the character of someone.
If we do, it's not worth the read.

That is all from me,
eanaa is signing out from this post
The End
